Below please find explanations of our treatments and our approach.
The foundation stone of our practice is the dental health examination. It forms the basis of the routine appointment and is particularly important for our new patients.
The dentist investigates all areas of your mouth health from your gums to the tongue and lymph nodes, checking for oral cancer as well as possible disease. Your dentist will want to make sure your mouth is completely healthy before undertaking any cosmetic treatments. At your first appointment with us, we like to show you round and take the time to get to know you. You will be asked to fill in a medical history form so that we know all the medications you are taking and understand your health history. Our philosophy is that a healthy mouth is important to your well-being.
We have solutions for chipped, stained, uneven, broken, crooked or missing teeth. Treatments can include tooth whitening, tooth straightening, crowns, veneers, or cosmetic bonding – a reshaping of the teeth with natural tooth colour filling material. Some of these methods of improving smiles are very ‘minimal’ and cost much less than you might think! Dentures and implants can also be provided for cosmetic reasons and we provide both here.
Teeth whitening is one of the easiest ways to improve your appearance. Whiter teeth can boost your confidence and self-esteem. Drinking coffee, tea (including herb teas), red wine, and smoking, not to mention curries, eventually takes a toll on teeth. The results are dull, yellow coloured teeth.
Most teeth will benefit from tooth whitening, which is a proven and effective way to brighten stained or discoloured teeth. The procedure is safe, simple, and more affordable than ever. For these reasons and more, whitening has become very popular.

We try and avoid fillings but sometimes they are essential to prevent teeth from further problems. We use different kinds of filling materials and we will always recommend the best filling material suited to your tooth. We offer invisible fillings so no one ever needs to know that you have had dental treatment.
Root canal treatment is required to treat inflammation or infection inside a tooth usually caused by decay but sometimes by trauma. Unless the inflammation or infection is removed the patient will suffer from pain, an abscess or both.
The treatment disinfects the damaged tissue and refills and reseals the roots of the teeth, relieving pain and preventing future infection and damage.
Crowns, onlays, veneers and bridges are made in specialist dental laboratories to our prescription.
A crown is a tooth-shaped ‘cap’ that fits over your tooth to give total coverage; crowns are usually recommended to strengthen and protect the tooth below. We offer crowns that match your teeth amazingly well so that no one knows that you have had dental treatment. A crown is also placed over a dental implant.
An onlay is often termed ‘a half crown’. These have become more and more popular over the last two decades as they require less tooth removal when placing. They are very highly aesthetic and long lasting.
A bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth. It uses the adjacent teeth as support enabling you to continue eating comfortably with your teeth. There are many different bridge options available and our dentists can discuss these with you if the need arises.
Veneers are thin facings that protect or improve the appearance of the teeth. They are highly aesthetic and greatly improve the smile. Our dentists are all trained to an advanced level in this field so that we can provide you with the best possible result.
The long term success of crowns and veneers depends on the skill of the technician as well as very careful planning and placement by the dentist. We choose our technicians carefully so that the crowns and veneers we place are very successful and long lasting.
At every Dental Health Examination, we assess the health of your mouth in 14 different areas, including checking for oral cancer, your risks of gum disease and tooth decay. We also make recommendations for your homecare routine. Read our guide to preventative dentistry.
A system of straightening teeth which avoids metal traintracks, Invisalign is popular with adults who want to improve their smile invisibly. Invisalign consists of transparent trays fabricated from moulds of your teeth. A series of trays are provided which fit over the teeth to gently move them to new positions. These are worn full time, but taken out at mealtimes. Invisalign is ideal for mild to moderate alignment problems.
