Non-surgical procedures

If you are experiencing the signs of ageing, or perhaps feel that there are certain aspects of your facial appearance that you aren’t entirely happy with, you may be considering some form of non-surgical procedure to rectify this. At Pembridge Dental in Notting Hill, we offer a range of facial treatments using injectable substances such as Botox® and dermal fillers to address a myriad of facial and skin concerns, from fine lines to deeper wrinkles, volume loss, aesthetic correction, lifting, sculpting and augmenting the facial features, to give you a naturally-beautiful result which can last many months at a time.

Botox®

Arguably the most popular and most famous of the injectable cosmetic treatments. Botox® is actually the brand name for a substance called Botulinum Type A. Botox® is a neurotoxin which blocks messages from the nerves to the muscles which cause dynamic lines and expression wrinkles (lines you see when your face forms expressions), such as crow’s feet, forehead lines and glabellar lines (commonly called ‘elevens’ – the deep lines between your eyebrows at the top of your nose). When used in tiny amounts, Botox® helps to temporarily relax the facial muscles which cause these lines and gives a more youthful appearance to the face. The treatment is quick to administer, virtually painless and the results can last up to 6 months at a time.

Botox® for excess sweating, teeth grinding and gummy smiles

We all know that Botox® is highly-effective for treating expression lines, but did you know that it can also be used to ease the symptoms of hyperhidrosis (excess sweating), teeth grinding and gummy smiles. This is because Botox® blocks the signals not only to certain muscles (masseter muscles for teeth grinding and the upper lip muscles for a gummy smile) but also to sweat glands in problem areas such as the underarms, hands, face and feet. Therefore, treating these conditions is now simple, quick and the results can last up to 6 months at a time. There are many more indications which can be treated with Botox®, simply ask one of our practitioners to explain more.

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers come in many thicknesses and types. Predominantly comprising of hyaluronic acid (HA), a sugar which can be found naturally in the body and responsible for cushioning and hydrating various areas, such as the joints, eyes, connective tissues and the skin. As we age, the HA in our bodies depletes, leading to skin and facial issues such as lines, wrinkles, facial hollows and loss of volume as well as skin sagging. Dermal fillers can help to plump, lift, sculpt, support, re-build and re-volumize the facial features in all kinds of ways, even in a full facial rejuvenation lift! There are no scalpels, no stitching and no lengthy downtime, making dermal fillers extremely popular for those patients who want significant-yet-natural results with very little recovery time.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty

Do you wish your nose looked straighter or more attractive but don’t want to have a surgical procedure to correct it? If this is the case, then dermal fillers for a non-surgical nose job could be your solution. A very viscous dermal filler is injected in to the areas of concern (such as a nose with a bump, a nose which has a hook ended look, an asymmetrical nose or a nose which looks crooked) to build areas which need to be volumised or corrected. The procedure takes around 30 minutes and there is no downtime or painful recovery, just some slight swelling or tenderness for a day or so. Then it’s back to your daily activities with no sign of any intervention, simply a straighter, more attractive and proportionate nose.

Lip fillers

Dermal fillers for the lips is one of the most popular treatments, as it can enhance the lips to compliment the overall facial features. Thinning lips is a sign of ageing and can also be brought on by smoking, illness, weight loss, excessive exercise or simply the genetics you have inherited from your family. Injecting dermal fillers in to the vermillion boarder (the outside boarder), the body of the lips or both, can help to plump and volumize the lips as well as accentuate their shape. Even asymmetry can be addressed with the use of dermal fillers. There is very little downtime to this procedure and results can last many months.

Am I suitable for a non-surgical procedure at Pembridge Dental – Notting Hill?

Before you can undergo any type of non-surgical procedure, we will ask that you attend a no obligation consultation with one of our medical aestheticians. We can assess your facial concerns and speak with you about what is really bothering you about your looks. We can also check your medical history to ensure that you are fit and able to have a non-surgical injectable procedure. Once we are satisfied that you are able to have a treatment with either Botox®, dermal fillers or indeed both, we can create a tailored plan to suit your facial requirements, discuss the costs and make an appointment for your treatment.

Which non-surgical treatment will I need?

We wouldn’t be able to advise you on which treatment you would need, until we speak with you in your initial consultation.
