Clear aligners

Clear aligners for less, from your own dentist

Pembridge Aligners exist for a simple reason: many people want straighter teeth with clear aligners but find a full Invisalign course more than they want to spend. Pembridge Aligners are our own brand, made for us by the German aligner company K Line. They give you clear, removable aligners for about £1,000 less, planned and checked by the same dentist who would carry out your Invisalign.

That last part matters. Some cheaper aligners are sold by post, with no dentist looking at your teeth in person. With Pembridge Aligners, Dr Ardalan examines your teeth and gums first, plans the movements himself and sees you as the treatment goes on, at a practice on Campden Hill Road that has looked after Notting Hill since 1986.

Pembridge Aligners or Invisalign?

Both are clear aligners, and both are planned by Dr Ardalan, who is a registered Invisalign provider. The difference you see first is the price. The difference that decides it is your teeth: how far they need to move and how your bite fits together. Dr Ardalan explains which option fits at your consultation, and why. If Invisalign is the better choice for you, he will say so.

Before and after straightening

If you have decay or gum problems, they are treated first, so start with a check-up if you are new to the practice. Once your teeth are straight, many people finish with teeth whitening or composite bonding to brighten the colour or tidy uneven edges. All our prices are on the fee guide.

Who Pembridge Aligners suit, and who they do not

It suits you if

  • Your teeth are crowded, crooked or gappy and you would like them straighter.
  • You want clear aligners but would rather not pay for a full course of Invisalign.
  • You would like a brace that is hard to see and comes out to eat and brush.
  • You can wear the aligners for most of the day and night, every day.
  • Your teeth and gums are healthy, or any problems have been treated first.

It may not suit you if

  • You would find it hard to wear aligners for most of the day: they only move teeth while they are in.
  • You have gum disease or decay that needs treating first.
  • Your bite needs a bigger correction than aligners can manage. We say so at the consultation and explain the alternatives, including Invisalign where it fits better.

What happens, step by step

  1. Step 1: Consultation with Dr Ardalan

He examines your teeth and bite, asks what you want to change, and tells you honestly whether Pembridge Aligners can do it or whether another option suits you better.

  2. Step 2: Scans, photos and your plan

We record your teeth with scans or impressions and photographs, then go through the planned movements and the full written cost with you before you decide.

  3. Step 3: Your aligners arrive

We fit the first set, show you how to put them in, take them out and clean them, and give you the timetable for changing to each new set.

  4. Step 4: Check-ins as your teeth move

You come back at set points so Dr Ardalan can check the teeth are moving to plan. Campden Hill Road is a short walk from Notting Hill Gate, so these visits fit into a lunch break.

  5. Step 5: Retainers

When your teeth reach their new position, retainers hold them there. Teeth drift back without them, so they are part of the treatment.

Results and aftercare

What to expect

Teeth move a little with each set. How far they can move, and how long it takes, depends on where you start. Dr Ardalan explains what is realistic for your teeth before you commit; no result is promised in advance.

Living with aligners

Take them out to eat and to drink anything but water, brush before putting them back in, and keep them in their case when they are out.

Keeping the result

Wearing your retainers as advised is what keeps teeth straight after the aligners finish.

How much do Pembridge Aligners cost?

A full course of Pembridge Aligners is £2,950. A full course of Invisalign at the practice is £3,950, so Pembridge Aligners cost about £1,000 less.

You get the full cost in writing after your consultation, before any treatment starts.

Pembridge Aligners: your questions

Still have a question?

Call reception on 020 7727 3976, Monday to Friday. We are happy to talk it through before you book.

What are Pembridge Aligners?

Pembridge Aligners are the clear aligner treatment offered by Pembridge Dental in Notting Hill, planned and supervised by the principal dentist, Dr Ardalan Eghtedar. They are the practice's own brand, made for us by K Line, a German clear aligner company. Like other clear aligners, they are a series of thin, clear trays that move your teeth a little at a time.

How much do Pembridge Aligners cost?

A full course of Pembridge Aligners costs £2,950, compared with £3,950 for Invisalign at the same practice. You receive the full cost in writing after your consultation, before you decide.

Are Pembridge Aligners a cheaper alternative to Invisalign?

Yes, Pembridge Aligners cost about £1,000 less than a full course of Invisalign at Pembridge Dental. Dr Ardalan is also a registered Invisalign provider, so at the consultation he can tell you which of the two suits your teeth, and why, rather than steering you to one.

Who carries out Pembridge Aligners treatment?

Dr Ardalan Eghtedar, the principal dentist (GDC 250741), plans every course and sees you at each check-in. You are not handed a box of aligners and left to it.

How long does treatment with Pembridge Aligners take?

Treatment with Pembridge Aligners takes as long as your teeth need to move safely, which varies from person to person. Small corrections finish sooner than larger ones. You get an estimate for your own teeth at the consultation, before you commit.

Do I need retainers afterwards?

Retainers are needed after any aligner treatment, including Pembridge Aligners. Teeth tend to drift back towards where they started, and retainers hold them in place. Their cost is listed on our fee guide.
